Running for Becks

In support of other kids...

THANK YOU! Due to your generosity and that of many others I have surpassed my fundraising goal of $30,000! On behalf of my family and those that will benefit from your donation a most heartfelt thank you. As you may know, on May 23rd, 2007 my 3.5 year old son Beckett was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). ALL strikes 7 out of 100,000 children and is the most common form of childhood leukemia. Beckett has demonstrated amazing strength and resilience in the first 2 months of his 3.5 year battle. We have received such great support from our family, friends, and the medical staff at BC Children's Hospital. As Beckett is now responding to treatment both Jason and I are looking for ways to get involved in finding a cure for leukemia. At the idea of the SVP, HR at Business Objects I, along with some of my co-workers, am participating in the October Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco, as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of the money raised for this event will go to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of my son and all individuals who are battling blood cancers.
