Your Photographer Needs Your Help!
On October 28th, 2007, I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC. Our goal is to raise money to cure blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Someone dies from these diseases EVERY 10 MINUTES, and someone new is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer EVERY 5 MINUTES.
I'm a photographer by trade, and you received an email from me to come visit this page because I'm asking you to help me help others through ANY donation small or not so small that you can afford to fight these deadly diseases.
Personally, I am donating 100% of all the profits from print sales for all the events I shoot as a photographer in 2007.
As a wedding and portrait photographer, I see alot of families. Usually, everyone is together to celebrate a union in marriage, or a milestone in a family or individual portrait. After getting involved with Team In Training, I'm seeing how the work we do gives hope to people that years ago were simply dealt a death sentence. It has forever changed my life.
When I see a daughter or son dancing with a parent at a wedding, I think about the scores of daughters and sons who may never dance at their weddings, because if a cure isn't found, there won't be a wedding for them.
Being involved in this has given me a new set of glasses to look through. I used to run to stay fit, to blow off steam, and to meditate. Now, I know that by running with Team In Training, I am no longer alone in my shoes. We are all running for the same thing, to give hope to those afflicted with these deadly diseases and their familes.
I have had some hurdles to leap in my personal life as well. Seeing, reading about, being around, and knowing people living with, surviving, and beating the odds makes my hurdles seem like pebbles in the road when put in perspective.
The Society has been working hard for more than 55 years, and Society-funded research has contributed to major advances in the treatment of cancer.
Please sponsor me, for every mile gets us just a little bit closer to a cure. The knowledge that you have decided to share my committment to this important cause will keep me going, and you will be in my mind, heart and prayers as I cross the finish line.
I hope you'll tell others of my website and encourage them to help if they can.

Thanks in advance for helping give people afflicted with these relentless diseases a chance to have a Happily Ever After.
