I can't do it without you!!!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in the Nike Women's Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, but specifically my grandfather Charles Adamo who is living with leukemia and my grandmother Eloise Richardson who lost the battle with lymphoma in 1996. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. $25 will pay for chemotherapy or prescription costs $50 could assist with the cost of blood transfusions. $100 could help offset the costs of transportation to the Texas Medical Center. $500 could provide patient aid for a whole year!!
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress.
A final, more personal note...those of you who know me also know my story. For those who don't I'll share the short version. I was attacked and stabbed 27 times in October 2001. I know first hand the importance of quality medical care that is established through research funded by programs like TNT. I almost lost my life and it is my goal to give back everything I can to everyone I can. Since that life changing day in 2001 I have completed 2 full marathons and 5 half marathons. I know this will be the most rewarding because I hold the cause close to my heart. When I cross the finish line on October 21, it will be 6 years and 2 days since my near fatal attack. Thanks in advance for your kind and generous donations to a wonderful cause!
