Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in the Music City Marathon in April 2008 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I chose this marathon and this cause because raising money for a good cause is always a good thing. But I also signed up as a way to honor and show support to Bill and Sally Bates. Bill is a member of my church battling against multiple myeloma. He, his wife Sally, and their family are the real heroes on the TNT team. Running 26.2 miles is nothing compared to the physical, mental, and emotional challenges they face every single day as they fight this cancer.
By joining TNT, I committed to raising at least $1,800 for the cause of finding a cure. I'm asking my friends and family to help me reach this fundraising goal.
