Mary Hesse is running for a cure!

Saving lives one mile at a time.

Welcome Friends and Family to my Team In Training home page.

I have decided to help in the fight against cancer by joining the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program (TNT). I have personally committed to raise $5,000 for the society and will run 26.2 miles at the Nike Marathon in San Francisco on October 21, 2007. In exchange, people and families suffering from the effects of Leukemia, Lymphoma and other destructive blood cancers get to Survive!

TNT is the largest national fund-raiser for the Society. The research that the Society has sponsored has been the catalyst for revolutionary treatments for Hodgkin’s disease, Lymphoma, and other cancers, including breast and lung cancer. I have had the opportunity to see the power of the work being done by this wonderful society and the lives that have been touched by the TNT program and it's amazing!

I need your help to reach my financial goal! As I fight sore muscles, blisters, aches and pains over the next 4 months, please contribute to my fundraising campaign. Your 100% tax-deductible donation to the TNT program will go directly to patient aid, research, and treatment.

If you know someone who has fought or is currently battling some form of cancer and would like me to run the marathon in their honor, please include their name with your donation. You can also e-mail their name to me at mmbhesse@yahoo.com I will proudly wear a ribbon bearing their name on my race jersey and honor them with every step I take!

My goal is to raise $5,000 by October 10, 2007. I am on a deadline and need to reach the goal of $975 by August 22 and $3900 by September 26, 2007. Please know that donations of any size are appreciated more than you know.

Take a moment and choose the amount you would like to donate. This website is very secure, but if you would rather pay cash or check please feel free to do so. Please make checks out to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and send to the address below:
