Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
A change in plans. I will not be making it to Hawaii this year. I'm going to Vegas instead!!
As some of you know, a couple years ago I walked almost forty miles in New York City and raised $2,800 for breast cancer research with the Avon Walk campaign. Last year I took a break from such lofty goals and walked a 5K for Human Race in Mountain View, California. As you can probably guess where this is going, it’s that time of year again, and I’ve stepped up the challenge…
Believe it or not, I have decided to train to run a marathon! I’ve joined Team In Training, benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to pursue this goal. Hopefully, with your help, on December 10, 2006 I will run 26.2 miles in Las Vegas, Nevada!! All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
