Racing to Save Lives

Hello family, friends, and peops of all ages
I am training to run the Nike Marathon in San Francisco on October 21, 2007 with Team in Training on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
No seriously, people. I'm going to run. A long distance. On purpose. With nobody chasing me. And I need your support!
Through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program, I will not just be running for myself, but in support of an organization that is dedicated to curing Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease and Myeloma and improving the lives of cancer patients and their families.
My goals are two-fold: to cross the finish line of the NIke Marathon on October 21 and to raise $2500 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I'm hoping you will be able to help me with both of these goals. Your encouragement will go an incredibly long way in helping me to meet this great challenge, and your financial support will not only help save the lives of those afflicted with blood-related cancers, but will also make their lives more comfortable while they are fighting the disease.
There are two ways you can donate:
1. You can donate directly online by clicking the "Donate" button over there on the right. It's safe and secure.
OR
2. You send me a check or money order made out to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - I will make sure it gets to the proper place.
My address is: Josh Berkowitz PO Box 370807 Montara, CA 94037
I will be running in memory of my grandmother Rose, my grandfater Fred, and my uncles Norm and Irv, and in honor of cancer patients everywhere. If you know someone who has been afflicted with cancer, I would love to run in their honor as well. Please let me know their name(s) and I will be sure to keep them in mind on every training run and honor them on race day. I have learned so far that running is about challenging yourself to accomplish things you previously thought impossible. Together we can cross the finish line and win the battle against cancer. Thank you so much for your support. I invite you to bookmark this page and visit often for updates as this amazing experience unfolds.
GO TEAM!
