Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in Ironman Canada 2008 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.
This will be my second Ironman event. The first one was a disaster. I crashed on my bike and barely finished the race. I think I beat 8 people. So, this time around, I will train harder with my team and set a PR in Canada!
I am also doing this for my friends and family. For my friend Butch and Flavia, who both lost a parent this year to cancer. And for my Uncle Bob, who was diagnosed with cancer this year and is beating it.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
My company is also getting involved in this effort. We will donate a portion of every sale to help support the cause.
