Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

To all my friends and family, I am training to participate in the half marathon event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I am participating in this event in honor of a very special little girl, Hannah Rumping. Hannah was just recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and has endured several complications during her battle. Seeing the strength and faith of Hannah and her family has definitely been an inspiration to me. If you would like to learn more about what Hannah and her family have gone through this past month her family has given me permission to post her carepage. Visit www.carepages.com, sign up and search HLRumping.

I also would like to honor, my cousin Justin Overmann, who has fought his own battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma as well as another cousin of mine who has just begun his battle with lymphoma this March. As a pediatric oncology nurse at Cincinnati Children's we see children of all ages battling these horrible diseases. These children are the inspiration and the real heroes on our team. I need your donation to support me in crossing the ultimate finish line - a cure!

By making a donation to support my participation in Team In Training you will also help advance the Society's mission, continuing the fight for a cure.

I hope you'll visit my web site often to check on my progress of raising funds to fight these disease processes. Thank you for your support. We can all make a difference in this world, it starts with your pledge! Every little bit counts.

Thank you
