In Loving Memory of April Luciano 4/21/68 - 11/21/05
Race is over! Last weekend February 17,2008 I participated in the Ft Lauderdale A1A half marathon.
Since my last race with Team in Training, I am sad to say that my cousin April passed away. At 37 years old, April, a loving mother of two beautiful daughters, lost her battle. Every day she is greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved her .
Needless to say I will be training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I'm participating in this event in honor of those people close to me who have battled, are currently battling or have lost their battle to cancers. These people are my inspiration and are the real heroes.
We need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
