1/24 Hi Everyone, well I was hoping to be sharing with you all about completing the race, but sadly I had to make the decision to drop out a few weeks before, due to injury. Patella Tendonitis and IT Band problems have put me out.....FOR NOW.... I've been resting the knee and my hopes are that I can roll over to the next training season. I AM going to run a race!!
Update: Sat 12/2 I ran 11 miles for the first time. It went well, although my IT Band is now causing me a bit of trouble. Glad to have done it though and looking forward to increasing the mileage!
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm competing in the Carlsbad Marathon for my best friend's mother, Kathy and especially in memory of my Aunt Terry, who recently lost her battle after a long and difficult fight. Her strength is my inspiration, and I ask for your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
