Marathons Are Not Enough
Marathons, I love 'em, but it's time for a new challenge. Now, I'm going to go farther to cure blood cancers. I've signed up to ride my bike 100 miles around Lake Tahoe at America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride.

On June 1st - I'll go farther in one day than I did in three marathons.
Am I a good cyclist? No.
Am I terrified on the bike? Yes, frequently.
Do I fall? Yes, 3 times so far, but who's counting.
Why am I doing this? Because 26.2 miles wasn't enought to cure cancer.

Donate
I am training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. You can donate online right here. If you'd like to send a check please email me at: tnt.christine@yahoo.com. I'll give you the details on where to send your check. Of course, your donation is tax deductible and I'll send you a receipt suitable for IRS claims.

My Honorees
I'll complete the Century Ride in honor of:
• my Uncle Jimmy who we lost to myeloma,
• my honored teammates for this season, Austin an 11 year old who battling Leukemia and Ted who's been battling Leukemia for 5 years,
• my honored teammates from my prior seasons - Midge (who I saw the other day and she's doing great!), Jason (an amazingly courageous little boy) and Michelle (who is battling on with bravery).
