Saving Lives One Mile At A Time!

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.

Samatha Trost is a 19 year old girl in Virginia whom I've met several times. She is unfortunately a victim of cancer, They amputated her right leg from 4 inches above the knee. She just recently had surgery on both of her lungs to remove the tumors that have spread there. Last week she felt 2 lumps in her groin area. The doctors thought that they were just swollen lymph nodes, but a biopsy confirmed that they were cancerous. Samantha had scans done yesterday, and the Dr.’s found more cancer spots on her lungs, and a hot spot on her amputated leg. They said that she has lymphatic spread, which means that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and other parts of her body. Chemo cant be done again because of the damage that it has done in the past to her liver. Patients with lymphatic spread have a 0% survival rate. This is why I do this; this is why I ride and fight and speak for those who can't.
