I DID IT!!!
Last Sunday I completed my first Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.
It was an amazing experience! I met some wonderful people and accomplished something I never thought I could. Team in Training provided the support and encouragement I needed. Besides finishing the race I was part of a group of people that raised over $1 million to help battle blood cancers!
All of us on Team In Training helped raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I completed this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team.
Thank you to all of you that supported me in reaching my goal of raising $2,400!
Recently my friend, Vickie Greener told me her father was diagnosed with Leukemia. It is Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia or CLL. Stage 1. B type. Because he caught it early he is doing well. His town offers a free blood screening every year and every year he goes. It's programs like these that your donations help to fund.
