Fred Randle's Team In Training Page
Team Randle Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in a 100 mile cycling endurance event in June as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of my daughter, Brittany.
Brittany was diagnosed with leukemia in February of 2005. In September of 2006 she received a bone marrow transplant. Just a few weeks ago, in January, the doctors declared her cancer free!!! There is still a long journey ahead for her while her new bone marrow learns to accept her body.
For several months, during the transplant process we had to live hours from home. We lived on the cancer ward in the hospital and in a family house that catered to young cancer patients. We were very close to lots of families stricken with these terrible diseases. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Brittany will not be physically able to participate in this year's 100 mile bicycle ride around Lake Tahoe, so I will do it again in her honor.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
