Deborah Presken's Team In Training Page
Racing to Save Lives
Hi Everyone! Welcome to my Team In Training home page (and my first home page ever!).
As many of you know, I became a physician because my closest friend, Frani died of Lymphoma when I was a second year student at Wellesley College. I became determined to spend my life helping prevent this disease; and helping patients and their families defeat it. I recently became aware of another way for me to help. I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this half marathon in memory of Frani and in honor of all individuals who are battling cancers.
I would greatly appreciate any contribution you can offer. Big or small, it will be put to good use – it goes directly to patients and to finding a cure. The funds even go to help patients with their out of pocket expenses like transportation to their treatments.
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Also, please forward this site to interested family, friends, and co-workers, and let them know how they can make a difference in the lives of others. Thanks for your support! Deb
