Racing to Save Lives - and help LingLing give Lymphoma a Beatdown
My race may be over - but you can still donate. My friend Dan Reines is running a marathon in honor of Leanne. The money goes to the same place, so please donate here: http://www.active.com/donate/tntgla/danreines So, as you may have heard, I'm taking to the road to raise money for lymphoma and leukemia research in the name of my wife, Leanne, who is currently kicking lymphoma's ass. It will be 100 miles around Lake Tahoe on June 3rd. For those of you who didn't know, Lee was 20 weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed in January. So, the day that the bike ride is scheduled is pretty much the day that the baby was supposed to be born. So, there's that.
I've never done a fundraising event before. Never asked people for money, really, so this is new thing for me. But it's not new for me to give. Many of you have probably received checks from me for the various races you may have run...so now is my time to come to you and ask you to support us in this way.
