I Am Running 26.2 miles and Saving Lives While I Do It!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
I am running the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon. The 26.2 mile race (that's like running from Denver to Boulder) will be on June 4th, 2006, and I am trying to raise $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the process. The training will take 4 months and I will run more than 500 miles in my training. That's like running from Raleigh, North Carolina all the way to New York City, but it is nothing compared to what patients of blood cancers go through. Helping raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will provide more funding for patient services, research, and financial assistance to patients of blood cancer.
