Racing to Save Lives

Please help me support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

Welcome to my Team In Training home page!

On January 7th, 2007 I will be participating in the Walt Disney World Marathon as a part of Team in Training (TNT). Yes, the marathon is that race that's 26.2 miles long. As soon as you get over the shock, let me know; I'm not sure that I'm there yet myself.

All of us on Team in Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. My goal is to raise $3,500 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It may sound like a lot of money, but I'm confident I can do it with your help and that of other friends and family members.

This cause hits close to home for my family -- I will be training in memory of my grandmother Joan, who passed away last year due to lymphoma. Joan was always one to think of others first, and has inspired me to participate in this run so that I can in turn give back to others. I will think of her for inspiration when I feel like I can't run another step.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society go toward much-needed blood cancer research, patient assistance, and professional education. The survival rate of acute lymphocytic leukemia, the most common form of childhood leukemia, has improved to over 80% today from a mere 4% in 1960.

All individuals who are battling blood cancers are the real heroes on our team!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.

I hope you'll visit my web site often to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
