Welcome Friends! This is it! Saturday we will conquer the Mayor's Midnight Marathon in Anchorage Alaska! Our fundraising has been a tremendous success - Joel and I have raised over $12,000 between the two of us, and the Alaska runners from Brooklyn, $65,000!!!!!! And that's only part of the New York team. See, this world is full of multiples of amazing people just like you. THANK YOU ALL for everything you've given along the way, whatever it was, you have all helped make a huge difference. To me, and to all those whose lives we will save! Everyone think of Joel and I Saturday afternoon and send us cheers as we cross the finish line!
An old man walked along a shore littered with thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a storm. A young man was picking them up and flinging them back into the ocean. "Why do you bother?" the old man scoffed. "You're not saving enough to make a difference." The young man picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back to the water. "Made a difference to that one," he said.
