100 miles for a cause ! it is my turn to give back !
Hola ! It’s me, your coach!
As you know, I've been the TNT Head marathon coach for over 6 years. In that time, I have met all of you amazing people...people that have enriched my life in ways that you’d never know! I, too, would like to give back to an organization that continues to change people’s lives everyday, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. That’s why I've decided that after 6 years of hearing about your fundraising, it’s time for me to do the same. I am aware that many of you have a direct connection to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s cause, and I plan to run in honor of all of you that have been affected by leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. I will run in honor of all of you that I have met through all those miles of running.
A couple of weeks ago I had the honor of meeting Kate Davis, an amazing little lady!! Since I first saw Kate’s picture she has always been my own reminder of why we do what we do. Everytime I looked at her beautiful face and happy little eyes, I always wondered “Why?” such a beautiful little person had to go through that.
That’s why Kate, as well as her two sisters Emma and Olivia, will be my inspiration as I take on a new challenge. They will be the faces of all of you, the Honorees, and the family’s affected by all of these diseases.

The first part of my adventure took place on March 1st as I participated in the 50 mile race in Mississippi: http://www.ms50.com/ , next is the biggy on July 19th, as I’ll take on the Vermont 100 mile race http://www.vermont100.com/. I have never done anything like this, and I thought if I am going to do something that many may consider a bit crazy, at least do it for a good cause, do it for Kate, for you and your families, and all those affected by blood cancers.
