Jackie Hafner's Race to Save Lives
Help me fight for a cure!
Less than one percent of the world population has ran a marathon. On April 8, 2008, I will join that one percent as I race for a cure. In the next few months, I will be raising funds and training for this marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training (TNT). It isn't the completion of this 26 mile race which makes me proud, but rather, the combined efforts of TNT to raise money to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
In 1985, children diagnosed with leukemia had a 5% survival rate. Thanks in part to proceeds benefiting leukemia research, children today now have an 85% survival rate. It is up to us to get the survival rate to 100%! Please make a donation to support my participation in Team in Training and help advance the Society's mission.
I hope you'll visit my web site often; please check back frequently to see my progress in the upcoming months. Thank you for your support!
