Racing to Save Lives
Hello Friends and Supporters,
I did it! I finished my first NYC Triathlon.
But so slowly (and so joyfully) that I must do it again.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training gave me the support I needed to taste gasoline in the Hudson, change a back tire on the Westside Highway and hobble over the finish line.
I swam 1500 m @ 36:29 (with some time off to swim on my back and enjoy the scenery), biked 25 miles in 2:20:03 (with about 20 minutes to change the tire), and ran a 10K in 1:23:36 (almost 3 minutes a mile slower than my martahon speed, alas).
Thank you for supporting me. And you still have until August 7th if you want to give some more money.
This money will be used for research, patient services and education. Your donation is 100% tax deductible.
