Racing to save lives...and honoring those who lost the battle!

This year I have the privilege of participating in the November 5th ING NYC Marathon, and I would like you to join me. No, you don’t need to run the long 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of New York. Instead you may join me in spirit by supporting a cause that has become dear to my heart and more challenging than running a marathon…the fight against blood cancers.

Through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I am raising funds to help fight cancer. And this year I am honored to race in memory of Maria Laura Misra, a loving wife, mother, daughter and professional in the architectural community who lost her 3 year long battle to cancer on June 20th 2006 at the age of 41.

Laura will accompany me in spirit throughout my training and race day to remind me that crossing the finish line is much easier than fighting this disease. Laura like many who’ve fought cancer, are the real heroes on our team and remind us of the ultimate finish line - a cure!
