I am training to participate in the New York City Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Five years ago my mother, Marlene, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. With my mom's cancer now in remission, I'm completing this event in her honor. My mom's strength in battling cancer gives me strength to complete this triathlon....and I'm going to need it to finish a .9 mile swim (in the Hudson River!), a 25 mile bike ride and a 6.2 mile run!
