America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride - Lake Tahoe
Dear Family and Friends,
I'm riding again for Team in Training!! It's my third ride with them since last year, but this year, I’m riding as a mentor and I’m dedicating my ride to my Mother Marie who lost her battle to cancer in 2000. I'll be mentoring 10 people on a team of 75!!! This season, I'll be doing two Century Rides; Montauk and Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe has a lot of BIG Hills, so I'll need your support. People afflicted with Leukemia and Lymphoma have even bigger hills to climb, so I ask you to give what you can and help us!!! I'll also be kicking in my own amount. For every dollar donated, I’m donating 10 cents. I want to reach $10,000 total... so I'll be donating $1,000.00 myself!
What really motivated me to ride again and raise more money was the participants that had either survived cancer or were currently going through treatment. Do you know how much effort is involved to ride 100 miles? Try doing it while undergoing Chemotherapy!!!! I was so touched by riding alongside these people.
