Erin's at it again...
This time, I'm just on the run!
Who would have thought I'd be at this again so quickly? But here I am, putting on my Team in Training jersey and racing to find the cure for leukemia, lymphoma and other blood borne cancers. However, this time I've left my swim cap and goggles in a bag and my road bike at home...instead of a triathlon, I'm training for my first marathon on April 17!
My first marathon?!?!
Yes, that's right, I've never run a marathon! With a bunch of Sprint, Olympic Distance, and a couple of Half Ironman Triathlons under my belt, I've decided to tackle my fear of 26.2 miles at the New Jersey Marathon ~ and what a better way to do it than training with a team and raising money for a great cause in the process!
This is where you all come in. Once again, I'm asking for a donation. I hope you can find it in your hearts to dig into your pockets and give, even if it's only $5. Because if you give $5 and can get your friends and family to donate $5, we can all make a difference! So skip your morning coffee and give that money to a good cause!
Leukemia is the number one killer of children. Every race I do, I meet more people who have been affected by the disease, either personally or through a relative or friend. And with every race I do, I know we are one step closer to the cure because of the generosity of people like you!
