Keep on tri-ing...to find a cure
Six decades ago, the survival rate for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma was 0%. No treatement, no cure.
Six years ago, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
Six months ago, I finished an Ironman triathlon.
Being diagnosed with a blood-related cancer is no longer the death sentence it used to be. In just 60 years, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has made it their mission to find cures for each of the various types of leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Lucky for me, they're making incredible progress. But they won't stop until the cure rate is 100%.
On May 21, I'll be participating in the Memphis in May triathlon as a member of Team in Training, the fundraising arm of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. My goal is to raise $3500 for the Society, which they will use for research and patient aid.
Please consider supporting me and the Society by making a 100% tax-deductible donation in any amount.
If you prefer to donate offline, please send your check, made out to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to me at 159 Kane St., Apt. 2A, Brooklyn, NY 11231.
And in the immortal words of Elvis Presley: Thank you...thank you very much.
