Riding to Save Lives
I am training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training to ride the 110 mile, 'El Tour de Tuscon' in November of 2007. As a team we are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I'm completing this event in memory of Al Rubinfeld, father of my friend and teammate, Lauren, and of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! Please help support our mission and my ride.
As a mentor, I will be encouraging my teammates to reach their personal training and fundraising goals. I hope to help them have as rewarding of an experience as I had this past June. Our team for 'America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride'
around lake Tahoe raised over $285,000, thanks to the
generosity and support of all of those who donated.
You can read my stories from the road on my my blog.
