Racing to Save Lives
Dear Friends and Family,
We did it!
Marathon day was a great, fun day with nice running weather, and I finished my 2nd NYC marathon in 4.37.22-- 29 minutes faster than last year. I had so much fun out on the course and the miles flew by as I kept busy looking for all the friends and family members who were out there to cheer me on (or in the case of Michelle, run with me for the last 3 miles). Moqtaderi family and friends were out in full force with a delightful array of signs that proved that if things don't work out for the all the doctors and architects in the group, we definitely have a future as a signmakers. Check out their handiwork below...
More importantly, thanks to the generosity of so many of you, for the second year in a row I was able to raise over $10,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This season I raised $10,825, for a total of $21,675 in my two seasons of running with Team in Training. Thank you again to all of you who have contributed. I know that those of you who were out there saw a lot of purple TNT singlets go by, so you might be interested in knowing that 133 of us ran the NYC marathon for the NYC chapter of Team in Training this year, and together we raised $435,000 for the LLS.
