Kings trail tri-ing to save lives!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
In March 2000 my step dad was diagnosed with leukemia. Seventeen incredibly short, heart-breaking days later he passed away from this horrific disease. I am working on doing my part to ensure that this is put to an end. Raising money to help find a cure and give patients aid is my way of doing this.
Along with my step dad I am now also training and racing in memory of Blake Ray. Blake passed July 12th, 2007. There aren't enough amazing things to say about Blake. He was a bachelor in my auction in February without having any connection to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Just a few months later, Blake became very familiar with the reason we do this.
I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support! You can make a donation by clicking on the donate button on this page, or you can mail a check made payable to LLS to me at home. Email me and I'll send you my address (claire.oliver@yahoo.com).
Thank you so much for your continued generosity! In the past 4 1/2 years I have managed to raise over $40,000 to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and other blood related cancers.
I am not done until there is a cure!
