Racing to Save Lives
Well, I walked 26.2 miles in the Vancouver Marathon. I trained since the first of December for this event, and I am glad I did it with TNT. They were there for me during the last couple of miles when I felt like giving up. Even Jeff walked with me for a little bit.
Of course, I've also been raising funds and awareness to help find a cure for lymphoma, which is what Jeff has battled these past 6 months. He is now in remission, but others are still fighting for their lives against leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers.
Wouldn't it be great if the money you donated is what helps the doctors and scientists finally find a cure for all these diseases? Well, every dollar counts, and it gets them closer to that day.
My adventure is over, and I thank you for your support. I hope that I have inspired you to meet your own challenges. The LLS is a great organization, and Team in Training will help you meet your personal goals, whether it's a marathon, triathlon, 100 mile bicycle ride, or mountain hiking. Look them up and take the challenge.
