Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
I am very excited to be training to participate in a 1/2 marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. Call me crazy, but that means I’ve agreed to run 13.1 miles this December 9th! The Team In Training members are raising funds to bring treatments to patients of leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma, and myeloma. We want to improve the quality of life and the quality of treatment for these patients; of course, the ultimate goal is to stop these blood cancers from taking lives.
Many of you know that this is an important cause to me, I've had at least three family members that have battled the cancers mentioned above. I’ve even had a small bout with a non-aggressive lymphoma myself! I truly believe in the power of science, especially when fueled by research. These medical advances bring hope and treatments to patients all over!
