Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training Home Page.
I did it! I completed the Team In Training event for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and I wanted to thank you again for your generous support. Your help and encouragement helped get me to the finish line but more importantly, you are helping to accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and bringing increased hope to the patients and families who are on the front lines of the battle against these diseases.
05/18/08 WOW! What an experience. My finish tag time was 5 hours 15 minuets. This was the most challenging thing I have ever done physically and I am really happy to say I finished a marathon.
On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your kindness. I really appreciate your generosity!
Here is a brief history of the last 5 months of training.
01/06/08 I met some of the team for the first time and we ran 4 miles today in Westlake OH. Looking forward to next weeks run in Akron, OH.
01/13/08 Today we ran for an hour on the Tow Path trail down in Akron, OH. It was a brisk 28 degreeās outside and I ran just under 6 miles.
01/27/08 Got together with the team this morning for a run in Strongsville, OH. Training has been going very well for me and I have been averaging about 20 miles a week. We will start to increase the miles as we get closer to race day.
02/03/08 This morning was interesting, it was the first time I ran 5 miles on Ice. I had a lot of fun.
03/15/08 This morning I ran further than I have ever run, we ran 12 miles this morning down at Rocky River on the west side of Cleveland. Training has been going well and thank you all for your support and contributions.
03/28/08 I want to Thank each and every one of you who has supported The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, with your contributions I have exceeded my goal to raise $1650.00, Thank You.
04/26/08 Had an awesome run this morning with the team. We ran in the Cleveland Hermes 10 miler, then went out and ran it again to get 20 miles. This is the farthest I have ever ran in my life so this was a big accomplishment. Race day is approaching very fast, but after today I feel really good.
