Here I Go Again!

Racing to Save Lives

Hello again friends and family! If you have found this page, then you can already see that I am participating again with Team in Training. This time as a proud alumni.

And for those of you who know me well, you are probably wondering why I decided to compete in the Cleveland Rite-Aid Marathon as a runner. (And we all know its not because I love to run so much.)

The reason is because I have had such a wonderful experience with this program. I made new friends while I trained, even in that not so figure flattering wet suit. But most importantly I helped raise awareness for cancer research and advocacy programs. But the best part of all I get to race in honor of 3 great honorees: Christian, Nate and Kailey.

This year Team in Training is celebrating its 20th anniversary and with almost a 1 billion dollars raised, we still have a race to finish! This time I am running in my own back yard: Cleveland.

Please help support me as I begin this journey again and help me to honor my honorees and cancer survivors: Christian, Kailey, and Nate.

Please donate, and keep checking back for updates. Invite your friends and family to help be a hero for a cancer patient. And don't forget to pay it forward!

UPDATE

April 21:

Wow, how time flies. I apologize to anyone who has been checking this page on a regular basis, and has noticed my lack of updates. Graduation is fast approaching, and the marathon falls a two short days afterwards.

After much deliberation I decided to only complete a half-marathon. Mainly because my responsibilities to school has prevented me from being able to devote a considerable amount of time to training. The good news is that despite the final distance, the money is still the same. Every single dollar donated is another dollar towards reaching that final goal: a cure.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, sent me encouragement, and kept me in your prayers. Because of you I know I will make it across the finish line for a second time!

And here is some food for thought:

We only have one life to live. And one life to do things right. We have so much capacity in ourselves to love someone else, and a even greater responsibility to love those who need it the most.

Please donate.
