Riding to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I am training to participate in the Solvang Century as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I'm completing this endurence event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

My team has two Team Honored Teammates: Paula Whitacre and Scott Kalski. Both are survivors and amazing people. Scott is also a TnT veteran and rode Lake Tahoe with me last year.

But I decided to ride again--so soon after my last Leukemia ride--because my good friend Jesse is currently fighting Hodgkin's disease. He's been in chemo for a while now and they're going to have to try a marrow transplant shortly. I'll be thinking of him in California. Also, two of my friends told me about their friend Emily Quinlan, a young lady battling AML, so I'm riding for her, too.
