Cassi's Team In Training Page
Racing to Save Lives
I will be training to participate in the Philadephia Insurance Triathlon on June 22 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training (TNT). TNT will train me to swim 0.9 miles, bike 24.8 miles and run 6.2 miles, and in return I am raising money in support of the Society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
TNT is the #1 endurance training program in the world. Since 1988, 320,000 people have completed endurance events with TNT, and this year 35,000 walkers, runners, cyclists and triathletes will participate in the world’s major marathons, century rides and triathlons. TNT is also The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s largest national fundraiser, raising over $750 million to date for research, patient aid programs and community outreach programs.
I will be training on behalf of an honored teammate, someone with first-hand experience with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, or Hodgkin’s disease. I haven’t met my honored teammate yet, but when I do I’ll be sure to share his or her story.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team in Training and help advance the Society’s mission. Also, please visit my blog at tntcassi.blogspot.com, where I'll be posting about my progress with TNT. Thanks for your support!
