Racing in honor of my father!

Here I am after the first week of training and going strong!

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I know this sounds crazy but I am training to participate in a marathon in Honolulu Hawaii in December of 2007! I am training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. In addition to training with really great people I am raising money for the Society and to find a cure for cancer! In that capacity I am raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers and In honor of my father who passed away from cancer several years ago! He still plays a major part in my life and the life of my son! These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. Whatever you can afford would be great!

I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!

The first week of training is in full swing!

Our training started out with small distance running as we work up to larger distances! I have now sucessfully run a two miles and five miles! I know I know! They are pretty small distances in comparison to the 26.2 mile marathon but with 4 months still to go! I know I can do it!!! Thank you to everyone for your support and prayers! Week 2 is sucessfully completed!!!! I did it!!! I am still going strong we are averaging about 15 miles per week so far and I have been able to run it all! This is truly an amazing program and experience. It was a little more difficult at our team meeting, I was surprised how powerful it was to place my fathers name on the banner! Thank you all for your prayers and support! Well we are now almost half way through our training! I am holding on. It is truly a remarkable experience, I am so happy I am apart of it! This week we are running 12 miles!!! amazing! Looking further on in the schedule, by the end of October we will be running 17miles! Thank you to everyone who has donated! I am still over half way from what I need to raise, so any help you can give would be awesome! Below is a list of people who I am running in honor of, if you have someone you would like to add to the list please send me an email at ckangel@mac.com Richard Kuhn McKenna Ray
