Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of Gregory L. Mohr 3/14/1950-1/28/1995 and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
February 27: I've been training a little over a month now and it's amazing the progress I'm seeing! I'm not gonna lie, the 6am long runs in the arctic temps have been kicking my tail but those are nothing compared to the patients who are fighting for their lives and that is what this is really all about!!
March 5: The benefit Luau is really coming together! Icon Night Club has donated the entire VIP section to the cause and many other companies around town have donated items to the silent auction. The Luau is March 14, at 9pm and it's just 10$. It IS a Luau so don your tropical attire...we're giving out prizes for best dressed guy & gal!! I hope to see all of you there!!
On March 22 I ran the Frisco Half Marathon..Whew! It was work but 13 miles later I crossed the finish line!! June 1 is fast approaching!
April 2: The Luau was a huge success! With all of your donations we raised over 1500$ for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Way to go!! Thank you to all of you who came out and showed your support!
Most of you know that I am running in memory of my best friend Jess's dad Gregory L. Mohr. He passed away of ALL in 1995. She will often say Leukemia stole my hero....thank you for helping me find a cure for the disease that so many are battling and that stole my best friends hero!!
Thank you to all of my supporters; I couldn't do this without you!
May 22: What an amazing experience being a part of Team in Training has been! With the race just days away I am growing very anxious!! We had our last training run Saturday 5/17/08 -20 miles- Coach Richard stuck it out with me the whole way!! Thanks Coach!! There are so many people that have contributed to my campaign!! Thank you to each and every one of you for aiding in my success! Now all I have to do is run the race!!!
Please don't stop here------> Be the difference and keep raising money to help find a cure for Blood Cancers!! Thanks again for your support!
