I keep meaning to post pictures... but no one wants to get up for my 6am & 7am runs to come take them! :) Training is still going good... the last two weeks have been challenging because of a tight hamstring and a 12 hour bout with a fever & aches. BUT, I survived and am back on schedule as usual. My fundraising is taking a bit more focus. I do have a fundraiser coming up - Friday, March 14, 8pm @ Lindbergs (commercial & campbell)!! An early St. Patrick's Day celebration to beneft the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! Spread the news! Thanks for visiting

Well, last Saturday I ran 7 miles on my long run... whew! It was my longest run so far, but I felt great afterwards! I am really working hard during the week on varying my workouts with speed intervals, weights, and core conditioning... and it is making a big difference. I have really improved just over a weeks time and am looking forward to my continued progress. Thanks for visiting!!

Training is going great. I am up to 5 miles on my long runs...which sometimes means a 6AM start! I am still very motivated and focused on my goals! This week is proving to be a struggle to get out there because of ICE STORM 2008 here in Springfield - we have at least an inch and a half of ice on everything! The trees are looking pretty sad.

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am excited & nervous to announce that I have joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s, Team in Training, and will be running in the San Diego Rock ‘N Roll MARATHON in 2008! That is 26.2 miles, my friends! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is an amazing organization committed to finding a cure, developing new medicines, and providing support groups and financial assistance to individuals suffering from blood-related cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

DID YOU KNOW?
~ $100 will fund a Society laboratory research for one day with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
~ $500 will test 7 people as potential bone marrow donors.
~ $500 will allow the Mid-America Chapter to reimburse one family for medical expenses for one year.
~$1000 will provide ten children with one-month supply of medication.
