<<<<< ATUL'S TRAINING UPDATE NUMBER 3 (FINAL) >>>>>
Since the last update, I did a couple of 20 milers on my own and a 60 miler with the team. It was relatively flat so it wasn't bad. But after that, I've been giving my achilles tendon a rest and I think it has helped. I went for a 2 mile run today and it felt fine. I'll do 30 miles tomorrow and then weights on Wednesday. Then it's time to rest for the ride which is only 6 days away!

Please donate to help develop a cure for leukemia and to support my 100 mile bike ride.
We all miss my dad who was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. In honor of him, I am participating in a 100 Mile Bicycle Ride to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It is part of their Team in Training organization with whom I will train and ride on June 1 around Lake Tahoe.
Thanks to the support of the society, drugs were developed that helped my dad fight AML, (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and have drastically increased survival rates for many types of leukemia. Let’s try to fund further research so that others can be cured of leukemia, lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma in the future.
I ask that you please donate on this webpage and give as much as you like. A donation of $25 is a nice figure that would cover two prescriptions for a patient, and $150 would fund one researcher for one day. Any contributions you give are tax deductible and the website allows you to print a receipt. My goal is to raise $3,941 which was my dad’s birthday, (March 9, 1941). Since my race is in June, I am targeting reaching my full target by that day. Remember, every dollar you donate will make me bicycle faster :-)
If you don’t like using the internet, you can also donate by sending a check made out to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to my home address. Email me for my home address.
