Racing to Save Lives

Welcome!

I am running in the Bayshore Marathon, a distance of 26.2 miles, in Traverse City Michigan on May 26th as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. Team In Training is a program that is dedicated to raising funds in an effort to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, and myeloma from taking more lives. My participation in this event will bring us one step closer to our goal of finding a cure.

About 32 percent of cancers in children ages 0-14 years are leukemia, and in 2006 there was a projected 118,000 new diagnoses of Myeloma, Leukemia, and Lymphoma combined.

This cause is personally touching because in March of 2005 my Grandfather, Jim Brodie, passed away after being diagnosed with the the blood cancer Leukemia. As the loving father of ten, world war two veteran, and 13 year volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, he was a man that never stopped giving and his life truly is an inspiration.

Any donation in support of my participation—large or small— would be greatly appreciated. If you have any quetions, feel free to contact me by e-mail at C_Liberacki@Yahoo.com.

Thanks in advance for your support!

Don't forget, it's tax deductible.

Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress, as I plan to post training updates.

— Colton
