Yes, I'm running a marathon...

I am taking my involvement with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society one giant step forward. I have joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training and am training to run in the Rock 'N Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 1. Yes, I said MARATHON. That's 26.2 miles. • Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with a blood cancer. • Every ten minutes, someone loses the fight. My dad, Wayne Holcomb, is one of those statistics. He lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on January 31, 2007. That's why I'm doing this. Am I a runner? Nope. Will this be hard? No doubt. Am I committed? ABSOLUTELY!
