Running for those who can't
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.
I have several motivators in my attempt to complete the Maine Marathon. The on that finally pushed me to take the step and start fundraising is to the right. That adorable boy is named Trevor Kott. He lost his fight with acute myeloid leukemia on April 25, 2007 at six months old. You can read more about Trevor at www.trevorkott.com.
I don't want anyone else to suffer like Trevor and his family have. I'm going to run to raise money so that a cure can be found, and those who are suffering now have even more hope.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has done great things in the fight against blood cancers, but there is so much more to be done. You can help by supporting my run on October 7, 2007. Make a donation. Even $1 a mile will make a difference. Skip that second cup of coffee(I know we all need the first one!). It will be worth it, I promise.
Be sure to check back for updates on my progress!
Thanks for your support!
