*** This song makes my grey skies blue... May you all have a blue sky holiday. ***

Hi Everyone!

For those who don't know me...My name is Janice Gagnier and both my family and I are blessed by good health. Every family should have a chance to make this statement; this is why I am running for Team in Training (TNT). Starting this August, I will be out on the streets of Maine training for the Bermuda International Marathon. The marathon will take place on January 15, 2006. I have decided to fulfill a long time goal of mine to take part in a marathon. Not only am I fulfilling my goal, I am doing it for a good cause. I have joined Team in Training! I am training to participate in this endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. Our mission is to Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. This is an ambitious task and we need your help! Leukemia is one of the leading diseases contributing to the death of children under 15 years of age. Every ten minutes, another child or adult is expected to die from leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma. I'm completing this marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! Each team will participate in honor of a local patient honored hero. I have joined the fight in honor of a dear friend, Richard Schroeder "Rick" who lost his battle in December 2002. He put up a long hard fight against the disease and went through a lot rougher things than me running 26 miles. There are many out there like him who have fought or are fighting a blood cancer. I will also be running for my patient honoree Dominic Malo, Dominic's profile caught my attention because he is close to my own son Kyle's age. Dominic is a handsome 4 year old boy who is Undergoing Protocol Chemotherapy for the next 2 1/2 years. We need your support to support those people and to find a cure.

I will be in training for 6 months, so that I can build my stamina up to complete the 26.2 mile race. I know that the only motivation I will need is to remember that completing a 26.2 mile race is nothing compared to what my Honored Hero has gone through. I hope that you'll visit my web site often and check back to see my progress.

My goal is to raise $4,500.00 by December 1, 2005. Please support my efforts by giving a tax deductible contribution to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As I take part in this marathon, knowing that you contributed to make my Honored Hero's life better will motivate me to complete the race. Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated. The society allocates approximately 75% of the funds raised by TNT partiicipants to help support the Society's mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and enhance the lives of patients and their families.

Please join with me on January 15th, to celebrate life. I am confident that all of my hard work and training, and your monetary contribution, will make a difference in the lives of individuals who are suffering from cancer. Thank you in advance for your gracious support. If you'd like to send me a check, please e-mail me at:RhodeRunner1@hotmail.com for my address. Check donations must be made out to: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

I hope you'll visit both of my web sites often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. I have just added another website ... this new site will include photo's , diary, guestbook and more. Click Here for photo's, updates & more ~Team In Training ~

Thanks for your support!
