Me, at Mile 12 of the 2004 Walt Disney World Marathon. I'll be repeating history next April when I run the 2008 Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee.

Welcome to my Team In Training donation page. Please, make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.

In 2004, I ran the 2004 Walt Disney World Marathon and raised over $5700. In 2008, I'll be running the Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville will be an emotional return to the reason I ever got off my behind and did this in the first place.

I first met Hal Rather in the summer of 1988 on the campus of the University of Colorado at the National Junior Classical League convention. 2008 marks 20 years since Hal came into my life, and 20 years since the start of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training program.

Hal lost his battle with leukemia in 1992 at the age of 22. I haven't been back to Nashville since his funeral in August of 1992, almost four years to the day after we met. It's time to go back to Nashville, to bring it all full circle.

Somewhere in the world today is another 22 year old guy like Hal Rather. But thanks to research funded by people like you through people like me in the Team in Training program, that guy has a better chance.

Be sure to check this page to see how the fundraising is coming, and above all else, thanks for your support!
