Larry Joffe's Team In Training Page
LivingStrong to Honor my Dad...
I am once again training for another Century Ride with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. This time I will be doing it as a Mentor. The Team asked me after my last event to help them help others with their fundraising and training. This new ride will be taking place in Tucson, AZ. The event is known as El Tour de Tucson and is actually 109 miles long. I am riding in this event in honor of my Dad, Dan Joffe who lost his battle with Leukemia (AML) on Sept. 13, 2002 after only a 30 day battle against the disease.
The purpose of Team in Training is to raise funds and to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am not only riding in honor of my Dad, I will also be completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Here's my list of Heroes that I'm riding for: Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. Any donation from $25 to $500+ is greatly appreciated.
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
If you have a family member or friend you'd like me to add to the list, please send me the name. All of the names will be on me or bike.
Here is the Team in Training Promotional Video. My sister Sharon and my Mom are both in it. Sharon talks about my Dad.
