LivingStrong to Honor my Dad...
I am once again training for two Century Rides with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. I will once again be doing it as a Mentor. These rides will be taking place in Montauk and Lake Tahoe once again. The Lake Tahoe event is known as America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride and is a ride around the lake itself! I am riding in this event in honor of my Dad, Dan Joffe who lost his battle with Leukemia (AML) on Sept. 13, 2002 after only a 30 day battle against the disease.
The purpose of Team in Training is to raise funds and to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am not only riding in honor of my Dad, I will also be completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
