I'm Training to Save Lives

Hello, there and welcome to my Team In Training home page. Thank you for checking it out.

Once again, I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. My first three events were marathons. This time, along with my good friends, Sherry and Ed Sweetland, I'm going to attempt a triathlon where I will train to swim one mile, then bike 26 miles and then finish with a run of 6 miles at the Wisconsin Elkhart Lake Triathlon on June 9th. I must confess that I haven't done any real swimming since lessons at the YMCA when I was 11 and although I made it all the way through to the top level of "Dolphin", all my times in the water since then have been your basic splashing around. So, uh oh.

That aside, all of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. My personal commitment is to raise at least $3250.00.
