Cancer is a disease that affects many people and does not discriminate against any one of the people it affects. February 6, 2007 at 8:30 in the morning I was diagnosed with non hodgkin lymphoma follicular grade 2 cancer. I was devastated to say the least and believed that I would not be able to reach my goal of running in a half marathon this year. However, Cancer will not keep me from reaching that goal. My doctor has stated that he will clear me to fly in October to participate with team in training in the Nike half marathon. I will be able to achieve my goal and assist in the fight to find a cure for leukemia and lymphoma. Thank you for your generosity toward finding a cure and helping me achieve my goal.
